The audio guide for your road trip

Denmark tells its story.
You just drive.

Pass a castle, a burial mound or a lookout — and the story starts in your speakers, all by itself. More than 1,400 stories along Danish roads, with Northern Germany on the way.

First stop

How it works

Three steps from the sofa to stories on the road. No maps to fold, no guidebooks to thumb through.

1

Open the map

See what lies around you or along your route — castles, nature, ancient monuments and lookouts.

2

Plan the trip (or don’t)

Type “I’ve got 3 hours from Aarhus to Aalborg” — or just set off. Pick “The scenic route” and we’ll bend the road past the sights.

3

Drive — and listen

As you approach a place, its story starts by itself through your car speakers. Eyes on the road, ears in the story.

Second stop

Built for the journey

The practical details are taken care of, so the trip stays a pleasure — even with no signal.

Stories that start themselves

Drive past — and listen. The app knows where you are and plays the story of a place just as it appears through the windscreen.

The scenic route

The route planner can bend your trip past castles and viewpoints instead of picking the dull motorway.

Works without coverage

Download maps and stories in advance. Deep in the dunes or out on a ferry — the stories keep going.

Campsites and chargers on the map

Campsites, motorhome pitches, nature spots and EV chargers — as map layers you switch on when you need them.

For those who bring their home along

Roadfable is made for the trips where the road is half the experience. Where there’s room to turn off because a road sign looks promising — and time to hear why a place got its name.

  • Motorhome pitches and nature spots right on the map
  • Stories keep playing when the signal drops
  • Big type and big buttons — gloves and low sun included
  • Podcast mode: hear a whole region’s stories on the long stretches
A travel companion who tells stories — and never needs a seat

Questions and answers

Do I need to install an app?

No. Roadfable runs right in your phone’s browser — tap “Try it free” and you’re in. You can add it to your home screen like an app, and native iPhone and Android apps are on the way.

Is the app in English?

Not yet. The app itself is currently in Danish; an English version is on the way. The map, navigation and playback are simple to use either way.

Does it play through my car?

Yes. Connect your phone over Bluetooth or cable as usual — the stories play through the car speakers, and the steering-wheel buttons work for pause and skip.

What if there’s no signal?

With Premium you can download both maps and stories in advance. Everything keeps working — along the coast, in the plantations and on the ferry.

Who makes the stories?

The stories draw on open sources such as Wikipedia and are narrated in a natural Danish voice. We review the catalogue continuously and add new places every month.

Can I cancel anytime?

Yes. No lock-in — if you cancel, you keep Premium for the period you’ve paid for, then simply continue on the free plan.

The road has waited long enough.
Enjoy the drive.

Free to try — the stories start as soon as you do.
